Math and Stuff
Greetings,
My name is Jared Scolaro, and I will be your teacher for math, statistics, capstone, or learning lab for the 2018-2019 school year. I grew up and still reside in Tempe, Arizona. I graduated from McClintock High School in 2013 before earning my bachelor's and master's degrees in Mathematics from Arizona State University in 2016 and 2018, respectively. Prior to joining the ASU Prep family, I worked for EdPlus at ASU on the Global Freshman Academy and taught a GED math course through Mesa Public Schools. As a youth I explored a lot of hobbies including drawing, painting, magic, Legos, ventriloquism, crocheting, sewing, stop-motion animation, video production, swimming, inline-skating, road-tripping, acting, Legos, singing, dancing, carpentry, piano, guitar, electric bass, music production, web-design, juggling, Legos, Spanish, and punning, to name a few. While I did not achieve a high level of mastery in most of these areas before moving on to something new, I still continue to create and record music, draw, and pun from time to time. I am pretty stoked to teach at ASU prep, and I really look forward to getting to know all of my students and their stories. Please plan to visit this website on a regular basis to stay on top of class information and resources. Regards, Mr. Scolaro |
